Fay is a very powerful magician from the Country of Celes. After sealing King Ashura of Celes Country, he transports himself to the dimensional witch, Yuuko, in order to escape his world and to never return. He is one of the most energetic and outgoing of the group and has a tendency to annoy Kurogane. Behind his energetic façade, he is caring and kind and will help his friends even at the cost of his own life. Fay tends to be quite open with his actions and feelings although he is the bearer of many secrets.

In Tokyo, Fay confronts the Clone Syaoran in order to protect everyone, as he is the only one that knows that Syaoran is a Clone. In the process, Fay loses one of his eyes, which is the source of his magic. Kurogane and Kamuii give him blood in order to prevent him from dying. Although since Kamuii, is a vampire, Fay becomes a vampire once he has drunk the blood. Kurogane then has to be Fay’s bait.

Fay is one of the mysterious characters and nobody really knows anything about his past. It is said that Fay has 2 curses that were placed on him by Fei Wang Reed and one of the curses involved killing a person that surpasses his own magical powers. In Infinity, Fay kills Sakura although Sakura did this in order to change the future.

Fay’s past is a very tragic story. Fay’s real name is Yuui and he had a twin called Fay. After his twin died, he took his name, ‘Fay’. He cares a lot of Sakura and the rest of the gang and doesn’t tell them about his past so that he can protect them.
