Clow country is a very warm and sandy country where there is a castle and several ruins at the centre of it. The castle of Clow country is where Sakura, Touya and Yukito all live and there is a large throne room as well as various other rooms including Sakura’s bedroom which has a balcony. A large town where Syaoran lives surrounds the castle. The houses are made up of bricks and they take the form of huts. There are also plenty of stalls where you can buy a variety of food such as Apples. The king of Clow country is Touya although prior to the story, Clow reed was the King. Both Sakura and Syaoran were brought up in Clow country although they had very different backgrounds.

Clow country is covered by Sand throughout the year and it is a very warm place. One of the most important parts of Clow country’s history are the ruins. At the beginning of the story, Syaoran is excavating the ruins and this starts the adventure. The ruins take the form of what seem to be wings and are made of some sort of rock. Prior to the adventure, Fujitaka, Syaoran’s adoptive father was excavating the ruins although he died during the excavation and wanted Syaoran to continue the excavation.

During the adventure, Syaoran and the rest of the group travel back to Clow country in order to retrieve the real Sakura from Fei Wang Reeds realm. The realm is situated in a pocket of time in Clow country where time constantly repeats itself. Later on we find out about the truth behind the real Sakura and the real Syaoran and that they in fact met many years ago. Originally Nadeshiko and Fujitaka were the king and queen of Clow country although this all changed when the clone Sakura and Syaoran were placed in Clow country. At present, very little is known about the true past.
