ERIOL found that he was very lonely and like his previous incarnation, he decided to create two beings to liven up Eriol’s house. He intended the two new guardians to be slightly similar to YUE and KERO although they did in fact turn out quite differently.

Spinel Sun is just one of the two guardians that Eriol created. He is very similar appearance wise as Kero although they have different personalities. Spinel is a lot calmer, tends to enjoy being by himself and loves to read. He is very wise and cares a lot for knowledge, which is the complete opposite of Kero. When creating Spinel, Eriol created him so that if Spinel is fed sugar, he will become crazy and drunk. He also is very loud and becomes virtually uncontrollable and Eriol is the only one that can calm Suppi down. NAKURU likes to call Spinel, “Suppi” and he gets very annoyed if Nakuru calls him that.

Spinel’s other form takes the form of a large Black Panther with butterfly wings on his back. He is also able to use the same powers as Kero.
