Kaho first appears as SAKURA'S temporary maths teacher at Tomoeda Elementary. Sakura adores Kaho’s lessons and finds that she is a very pretty woman and causes Sakura to start daydreaming a lot. SYAORAN is very cautious of her, as he is not sure why she is in Tomoeda and senses a strange presence. She also has a very bad memory and forgets quite a lot of things.

Kaho used to live in Tomoeda for a while before pursuing her career in England. She is a very kind and gentle person and treats her students equally and very well. Kaho has the ability to sense Clow Cards and actually aids Sakura sometimes by giving her hints about a Clow card in the vicinity. Due to her strange warning’s, Syaoran is very cautious around her and has doubts about who she is.

The first time that Kaho helps Sakura is when TOMOYO, Syaoran, and Sakura go to Tsukimine shrine. They are trapped within one of the Maze’s cards, Maze’s and are unable to escape. Kaho comes along and rescues them by using the Moon bell. She is also the Chief Miko of the Shrine as well as a substitute teacher and has a strange but useful magical item called the Moon bell. The Moon bell helps Sakura in the Final judgement and it was intended to give Sakura a second chance in the Judgement. It also meant that Sakura became the new master of the Clow Cards. Once the moon bell has disappeared, Kaho returns back to England.

Sakura has a couple of prophetic dreams, featuring Kaho, but at the beginning, she cannot see the persons face until she notices that the person has the same colour hair and eyes as Kaho. KERO thinks that at first, Kaho is the fake disguise of YUE as she is able to sense Clow cards but when he first talks to her, he notices that she is not Yue.

TOUYA had a very intimate relationship with Kaho when she was a teacher at his school although they broke up after a year since Kaho wanted to pursue her career in England. Kaho makes sure that she exchanges letters with Sakura by giving her helpful advice with both her feelings and the strange occurrences in Tomoeda. She eventually returns briefly to Tomoeda to celebrate Sakura becoming the master of all the Sakura cards. We find out that Eriol was in fact the person that actually gave the Moon bell to Kaho and in the manga, Kaho and Eriol have a very close relationship and are both in love with each other. Eriol can’t wait until he grows up and thinks about the future with her.
