Ruby Moon is one of the guardians created by ERIOL to replace YUE as Yue is already with SAKURA. She rules over the moon and is usually in her human form as Nakuru Akizuki. Nakuru attends the same school as TOUYA and YUKITO and tries to get closer to Yukito in order to take away Yue’s power. Ruby Moon has no gender but prefers to look like a girl as well as dressing and acting like a girl.

Nakuru tends to be a nuisance at school and is always annoying Touya and Yukito especially if Touya is trying to tell Yukito that he knows that Yukito is not real. She can be rather annoying and likes to watch Yukito, as he has no idea that there is Yue within of his disguise. She attempts to make sure that Touya can never give Yukito his magical power. Although, she is unable to stop Touya giving Yue his powers and she gives up and continues to help Eriol.

Ruby moon is almost exactly the same as Yue although she has butterfly wing instead of white wings and she is more of a dark pink, pink and navy colour. Like Yue, she is able to shoot shards as her main attack and she is also able to fly. Ruby moon is very loyal to Eriol as well as friendly.

Nakuru likes to tease SPINEL SUN who is the other guardian and constantly calls him "Suppi" which he absolutely loathes.
