Nadeshiko is the late mother of SAKURA and TOUYA and the wife of FUJITAKA. Nadeshiko first met Fujitaka when she fell from a tree and Fujitaka caught her where they instantly fell in love. Nadeshiko has always been really clumsy and when she was climbing a tree to put a bird back into the tree, she fell landing in Fujitaka’s arms. Nadeshiko died at the age of 27.

Her family was very much against the marriage, as she was still very young although Nadeshiko and Fujitaka still continued with the marriage regardless of her families opinions. They were both married for 11 years and had two children who are Sakura and Touya. She passed away from an illness although it is not stated what she died from. She was a very loving mother to Sakura and Touya and an adoring wife to Fujitaka

Sakura has met her grandfather once and we were able to see Nadeshiko’s past. She came from a wealthy family and her father seemed to love her a lot and gave her the most beautiful dresses. Nadeshiko worked part time as a model and most of the photos that Fujitaka has of Nadeshiko are of when she was a model.

She was a very beautiful person and was very kind. She played the piano and taught Touya how to play. She also used to write some songs and Touya usually plays the songs that she wrote. Even though Nadeshiko is dead, the Kinomoto family keeps her memory alive with photos etc.

Nadeshiko was greatly admired by Sonomi as they were cousins and in the same way as Tomoyo loves Sakura, Sonomi loved Nadeshiko. Sonomi has always hated Fujitaka after taking away her precious Nadeshiko but admits that she cannot entirely hate him as he is so kind and she understands why Nadeshiko admired and loved him.
