Fujitaka is the father of SAKURA and TOUYA. He is a professor of archaeology at Towa university and first found the Clow Book, which is added to his large collection of books in his basement, after finding the book in an excavation. He doesn’t have any magical powers and was unable to open the Clow book when he first found it. Even though he is very busy with his work, he still finds time to spend with his children and devotes the majority of his time caring for his children. He always encourages them with school work and cheers them on at festivals. Fujitaka is a very good cook and teaches Sakura how to cook in order to help her in her cooking classes.

Fujitaka is a very patience person and cares a lot for his family and friends. His wife, NADESHIKO, died 7 years ago when Sakura was only three although he still adores Nadeshiko and is so devoted to her that he greets a photo of her every morning and his children do the same.

Fujitaka first met Nadeshiko when he was a student teacher at her high school. When Nadeshiko fell out of the tree, he caught her and tells her that he thought an angel fell from the sky. They fall in love and Nadeshiko gets married to him when she is only 16 years old and even though her family was against it, she still married him and had 2 wonderful children.

In the manga, we find out that Fujitaka is in fact the half-reincarnation of CLOW REED and even though he doesn’t possess any of Clow’s magic or memories, he still has Clow’s kindness and looks. Although ERIOL gives Fujitaka half of Clow’s magic and Fujitaka then has the ability to see his wife again as a spirit.
