Clow reed is the most important character in the story besides SAKURA. He created the Clow cards and is one of the most powerful magicians in the world.

Clow reed’s mother came from China and his father was English. As Clow started to grow up, he learnt both Eastern and Western magic and by using this combined knowledge, he became one of the greatest magicians of all time. He also combines the Western and Eastern magic into the Clow cards. He had the ability to create the 52 Clow cards and the Void card to equal the positive powers of the Clow cards. He was also able to create two magical beings called CERBERUS and YUE to guard the Clow cards when Clow dies.

Clow spent most of the time in his house with his two guardians to keep him company. After spending so much time with his beloved guardians, he informs them that shortly they will have to choose a new master, as he is about to die. Yue is very angry about this as Yue adores and loves Clow but Cerberus accepts it even though he does not take it lightly. Since Clow is able to predict the future, he knows that the new mistress of the Clow cards will be Sakura and he makes sure that everything is ready for her and makes the Moon bell to aid Sakura in succeeding in becoming the new mistress.

He splits his reincarnation into two people who are ERIOL and FUJITAKA although Eriol is the only one that receives Clow’s memories and magic although Fujitaka has a daughter who becomes the future mistress.

Clow is shrouded in mystery and very little is known about his past and personal life. He does appear in front of Sakura after becoming the mistress of the Clow cards and he helps her and acts very wise as well as kind towards her.
